WASHINGTON, October 26. /TASS/. With just two weeks to go to the midterm elections, US President Joe Biden’s approval rating stands at 40%, which is 2% lower than his September approval score, according to the results of an opinion poll published by the US analytics firm Gallup on Tuesday.
The survey finds that Americans disapprove rather than approve of the job Biden is doing, which is likely to harm the chances of his Democratic party in the coming elections. According to Gallup, Biden’s term-high was measured at 44% in August and his term-low was 38% in July, while his approval rating has been in the range of 40% to 42% throughout the rest of the year.
The midterm voting will take place in the United States on November 8. According to a range of forecasts, Republicans can increase their numbers in both houses of Congress which would enable them to block any initiatives put forward by the Democratic president.
The survey was conducted among 1,009 adults on October 3-20. The margin of sampling error was 4 percentage points.
