Over 1.1 mln people arrive in Russia from Donbass, Ukraine, source says

More than 608,000 people have citizenship of the DPR or LPR

MOSCOW, May 4. /TASS/. More than 1.1 mln people have arrived in Russia from the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics and Ukraine, a source in security agencies told TASS on Wednesday.

"In all, through the checkpoints of the Rostov, Bryansk, Belgorod Regions and the Republic of Crimea over 1.1 mln people have arrived in Russia from the DPR, LPR and Ukraine, including almost 200,000 children," the source said. Over 24 hours, more than 12,000 people have crossed the Russian border.

The arrivals include almost 200,000 Russian citizens, more than 608,000 have citizenship of the DPR or LPR, the rest are the citizens of Ukraine and other countries.

Over 33,000 refugees are at 508 temporary accommodation facilities in 52 Russian regions.
