MOSCOW, October 2. /TASS/. Field exercises as part of the Center-2026 drills are taking place at ten training grounds, Russian Deputy Defense Minister Army General Yunus-Bek Yevkurov reported to President Vladimir Putin.
According to Yevkurov, the drills are being held at ten training grounds. Thus, the Chebarkul training ground in hosting exercises involving military contingents from Russia and seven foreign states. "These include, on the right flank of the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Force - units from Tajikistan and the Mongolian Armed Forces. In the center of the battle formation are the Russian Armed Forces together with a unit of the Belarusian Armed Forces. On the left flank are the Chinese National Liberation Army and the armed forces of Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan," he said.
He noted that the distinctive features of operations at the Chebarkul training ground include: the wide use of unmanned aerial vehicles, with ground-based robotic systems, the creation of passageways, including through underground utility tunnels, to penetrate deep into enemy defenses, extensive use of mobile fire teams and modules designed to counter unmanned aerial vehicles, and the use of uncrewed tanks for firing.
