MOSCOW, October 2. /TASS/. The situation in the area of responsibility of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) is deteriorating, while conflict potential is rising in its border regions, CSTO Secretary General Taalatbek Masadykov said at a closing ceremony for the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Forces drills.

"The military-political situation in the CSTO area of responsibility is increasingly deteriorating, zones of instability are expanding, and conflict potential is rising in border regions," he said.
