Moscow records over 1,600 COVID-19 cases in last 24 hours

As many as 52 COVID-19 patients died in the last 24 hours

MOSCOW, February 21. /TASS/. Moscow recorded 1,612 new coronavirus cases over the past 24 hours, bringing the total caseload to 967,834, Russia’s anti-coronavirus crisis center announced on Sunday.

According to the crisis center, the growth rate in new COVID-19 cases reached 0.17%. A day earlier, some 1,623 coronavirus cases were recorded in the Russian capital.

As many as 52 COVID-19 patients died in the last 24 hours, while Moscow’s total death toll hit 14,741.

Some 1,807 patients were discharged, bringing the total number of recoveries to 884,615. Currently, 68,478 COVID-19 patients are receiving treatment in Moscow’s hospitals.
