Russia’s new Voronezh-DM radar may be put on experimental combat duty by year end

MOSCOW, July 16. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia’s new radar station Voronezh-DM of the missile attack warning system, located in the Altai Territory, may be put on experimental combat duty before the end of this year, Commander of the Aerospace Defense Forces, Lieutenant General Alexander Golovko said on Wednesday. He inspected the progress of the station’s construction outside Barnaul.

“The pace of the construction and installation work allows us to put the Voronezh-DM new prefabricated radar station in the Altai Territory on experimental combat duty and in the operational testing regime to control the south-eastern missile threat direction by the end of this year ,” he said.
