MOSCOW, November 3. /TASS/. Russia is committed to increasing support for Abkhazia on the international stage, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Thursday opening talks with Abkhazia’s top diplomat, Daur Kove.

"We are planning to consistently step up support for Abkhazia in the international arena. Of course, we are looking forward to close coordination of actions within the Geneva discussions on Transcaucasia, primarily in terms of promoting a legally binding agreement on non-use of force," he noted.

"I know that a delegation of mediators who take part in the Geneva discussions is expected to visit Sukhum on November 9," the minister said. "We will be interested in your assessment of the upcoming meetings."
