Kiev says Ukraine doesn’t strike Russian territory

The Russian Defense Ministry also said Ukrainian forces attempted to use a UAV to strike the Dyagilevo military airfield in the Ryazan Region in a bid to knock out Russia’s long-range aircraft

MOSCOW, March 1. /TASS/. Mikhail Podolyak, an adviser to the head of the Ukrainian presidential office, on Wednesday said Ukraine doesn’t strike Russian territory.

"Ukraine doesn’t strike Russian territory," he said on Twitter.

The Russian Defense Ministry and officials in some Russian regions earlier reported incidents involving drones. For example, Moscow Region Governor Andrey Vorobyov on Tuesday said a drone fell near the region’s village of Gubastovo, but that didn’t pose any danger to the people. Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhayev said in mid-February that a Ukrainian drone was shot down as it was approaching the Balaklavskaya electric power plant. The Defense Ministry said at the end of December that air defense systems shot down a Ukrainian drone as it was approaching a military airfield in the town of Engels. The Defense Ministry also said Ukrainian forces attempted to use a UAV to strike the Dyagilevo military airfield in the Ryazan Region in a bid to knock out Russia’s long-range aircraft.
