Fortum assets sale in Russia need time, company says

It is reported that the Finnish company estimated the cost of Russian assets’ write-off at 1.7 bln euro

MOSCOW, February 7. /TASS/. The process of selling Fortum’s assets is associated with uncertainties, in particular, with receiving permits from regulators, the Finnish energy company said.

"The sale of main assets is the priority way for Forum. However, the process of sale is linked to significant uncertainties, such as the deal approval by regulators. Fortum will therefore may need some time to end the process," the company noted.

The Finnish company estimated the cost of Russian assets’ write-off at 1.7 bln euro, it added.
