MOSCOW, November 27. /TASS/. Northern Fleet marines practiced blocking of enemy’s unmanned aerial vehicles by radio frequency suppressors as part of a tactical exercise on a training site near Lake Santayarvi in the Murmansk Region on the occasion of the 317th anniversary from naval infantry establishment, Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Russian Defense Ministry said on Friday.
"Marines practiced preparation and launching the offensive from the position of a direct contact with the opposing force," the Department said. "Servicemen also practiced blocking of unmanned aerial vehicles often used by the adversary in the special military operation zone using a radio frequency suppressor," it noted.
The marines practiced firing from small arms, grenade launchers, portable antitank guided missile systems, mortars and combat vehicles during the live fire exercise, the press service said. The fire was delivered against targets imitating enemy armored vehicles and manpower within the range from 100 to 5,000 meters.
