MOSCOW, June 2. /TASS/. Russia’s space corporation Roscosmos has colossal technologies that can be used in new generation wars, Roscosmos CEO Dmitry Rogozin said on Thursday.
"It should be kept in mind that Roscosmos has colossal technologies that are directly related to new generation wars," he told 8th final industrial conference of heads and specialists of human resources’ services of Russia’s rocket and space industry enterprises.
Rogozin stressed that Russia had an orbital group consisting of navigation, communication, surveillance and relaying satellites. "All this can be used as a tool in armed struggle," he added.
A group of military satellites is being created at Roscosmos enterprises for the Defense Ministry, he said. The number of space satellites directly depends on how "deftly and skillfully" the organizations affiliated with the corporation work. The head of Roscosmos stressed that the satellites currently in orbit were still too few - more than 160.
In the meantime, "thousands of satellites are deployed against our army. For example, Elon Musk alone has more than 2,000 Starlink spacecraft. The foreign monitoring satellites that keep an eye on the movement of our troops online should also be added," Rogozin said.
The Western countries, he emphasized, are watching Russia’s army "like in the cinema" and transmitting information directly to firing positions. "Our servicemen are in an extremely difficult position, and yet they gain the upper hand through high morale, endurance and willpower," Rogozin said.
