Russia’s COVID-19 case tally grows by 5,217 — crisis center

As many as 641 people were hospitalized with COVID-19 in Russia over the past day against 1,063 the day earlier

MOSCOW, November 20./TASS/. Russia’s COVID-19 case tally rose by 5,217 over the past day to 21,536,229, the anti-coronavirus crisis center reported on Sunday.

As many as 641 people were hospitalized with COVID-19 in Russia over the past day against 1,063 the day earlier (39.7-percent decline). The number of hospitalized patients rose in 13 regions and declined in 58, while in 14 regions the figure remained the same.

Meanwhile, Russia’s COVID-19 recoveries rose by 4,443 over the past day against 6,621 the day earlier, reaching 20,943,924 overall, the anti-coronavirus crisis center told reporters. As many as 59 coronavirus patients died in Russia in the past day against 62 the day earlier, bringing the overall figure of coronavirus fatalities to 391,454, it added.

Moscow’s COVID-19 cases grew by 808 against 727 a day earlier, reaching 3,246,635, according to the anti-coronavirus crisis center. St. Petersburg’s COVID-19 cases increased by 464 over the past day against 458 a day earlier, totaling 1,793,801.
