TUNIS, May 24. /TASS/. Thirty-three vessels, including tankers, container and other commercial ships, passed through the Strait of Hormuz in the past 24 hours, the naval forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC, elite units of the Iranian army) said.

According to the statement as cited by the Fars news agency, the ships sailed through the strait "upon receiving permits" and "in coordination with the IRGC Navy."

On Saturday, the IRGC naval forces permitted 25 vessels to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.
