Trump says will acknowledge defeat if election is fair

US Republican presidential candidate also called those who believe that he won't concede if he loses this election as "crazy"

NEW YORK, November 5. /TASS/. US Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has said he would acknowledge his defeat at the presidential election if it is held fairly.

"If I lose an election, if it's a fair election, I'd be the first one to acknowledge it," he said after voting in Florida. He called those who believe that he won't concede if he loses this election as "crazy."

He also said that he is not going to call on his supporters to refrain from violence in case he loses. "I don’t have to tell them," because they "are not violent people," he said.

The US is holding election on November 5, with voters choosing the president, governors in 11 states and two US territories, a third of the Senate, and all members of the House of Representatives. Republican candidate Donald Trump, who served as president from 2017 to 2021, is competing against Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, who has been vice president since January 2021. Trump, having lost the 2020 election to Joe Biden, is seeking a return to the White House.
