MOSCOW, March 20. /TASS/. Moldova’s autonomous Gagauzia region does not consider the possibility of secession, the head of the region, Yevgenia Gutsul, told Izvestia.

"In fact, we are not really considering it," she said in response to a question about the possibility of the autonomous region’s withdrawal from Moldova.

Gutsul pointed out that the Gagauz people consider Moldova their homeland.

"The only thing we want is for our law on the special legal status of the autonomous region Gagauzia to be in force and for all adopted laws to be respected," the regional head said. She opined that in the future the disagreements between the region and the Moldovan authorities "will cease and be forgotten," pointing out that Gagauzia is always in favor of dialogue.
