Belarus reinforcing border with Ukraine

According to Yermakov, the situation on the border "is stable and under control

MINSK, November 27. /TASS/. Belarus is reinforcing its border with Ukraine in the Brest region, Eduard Yermakov, spokesman for the Pinsk border detachment of the Belarusian Border Committee, said on Sunday.

"The border on the territory of the Pinsk border detachment is being equipped with key engineering structures. It includes furnishing of roads and the no man’s zone, installing signaling and video surveillance systems. Border guards have been put on alert," he said in an interview with the STV television channel.

According to Yermakov, the situation on the border "is stable and under control." He stressed that border guards "are ready for any changes in the border situation."

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said earlier that Ukraine had pulled up to 15,000 troops to the border with Belarus. Chief of the Belarusian Border Committee Anatoly Lappo said in mid-November that Ukrainian troops had undermined "practically all bridges in the Gomel and Mozyr directions" and were "beginning to blow up bridges in the Volyn direction.".
