MOSCOW, May 4. /TASS/. The European Union has put forward a proposal to impose restrictions on Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All-Russia as part of its sixth package of sanctions against Russia, Agence France-Presse reported on Wednesday, citing an EU document.

According to the news agency, the sixth package of sanctions will also blacklist another 58 Russian individuals, including the wife, daughter and son of Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced earlier that the sixth package of sanctions against Russia would seek to expand the blacklist of individuals, gradually abandon the import of Russian oil and cut off another three Russian banks, including Sberbank, from the SWIFT payment system. Politico reported earlier that apart from Sberbank, the restrictions might target the Credit Bank of Moscow and the Russian Agricultural Bank.
