Russian bodybuilders to compete at 2025 European Championship under national flag

"The Russian Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation has already formed a team for the European championship. It will consist of around 200 athletes," the spokesman said

MOSCOW, February 25. /TASS/. The International Fitness and Bodybuilding Federation (IFBB) has confirmed that the Russian national team will be allowed to take part in the 2025 IFBB European Championship in Spain under their national flag, a spokesman for the Russian Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (RBFF) told TASS on Tuesday.

"The Russian team received an official invitation from the IFBB to participate in the European championship," the spokesman said. "The IFBB leadership has confirmed that Russian athletes will be allowed to compete under the national flag and to the tune of their country’s anthem in line with the international federation’s ruling from July 8, 2024."

"The Russian Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation has already formed a team for the European championship. It will consist of around 200 athletes," he continued.

"The roster has been submitted to the IFBB, which has now issued invitations for the entire Russian delegation to proceed with visa arrangements for Spain," the spokesman added.

The 2025 IFBB European Championship will be held from April 30 to May 5 in the Spanish city of Santa Susanna.
