VLADIVOSTOK, December 17. /TASS/. Tiger and goat friends, inseparable as companions at a safari park in Russia’s Far East, now have social media pages and an online gift shop, the zoo website said on Thursday.
Pages on popular Russian Vkontakte and Odnoklassniki social networking sites will publish daily news about Amur the tiger and Timur the goat with photos and videos. The online shop will sell T-shirts, mugs, plates and magnets bearing their images.
The two friends also have a page on the zoo’s site, collecting recent jokes about the couple. The three-year-old tiger and the goat supposed to be his lunch have lived alongside for a month. The animals spend hours together, walking about the vast enclosure side by side.
Safari park director Dmitry Mezentsev said the tiger was unlikely to eat the goat. "The risk for Timur to be eaten is less than in the first days," he said.
