VOLGOGRAD, February 27. /TASS/. A Volgograd court sentenced the man who set fire to a recruitment station last spring to four years in penal colony, the united regional court press office said Monday.
In 2022, Denis Serdyuk, 30, brought improvised incendiary devices to a military recruitment station, ignited them and threw them inside the station through a window. He fled the scene, but was detained by the law enforcement later.
He was charged with "intentional destruction or damage of property by arson" and "public disorder."
"Under the combined charges, the defendant was sentenced to 4 year in a general regime penal colony," the press office said.
The press office underscored that the defendant pleaded guilty and repented.
