The parade convoy is making a march that’s more than 400 km long

MOSCOW, May 11. /TASS/. Parade crews of the Yars missile systems that took part in the Victory Parade on Red Square are returning to their permanent base in the Teikovsky missile unit, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Wednesday.

"Servicemen and military equipment of the Teikovsky missile units that’s stationed in the Ivanovo Region, who took part in the preparation and conduct of the military parade on Red Square, are making a march from Alabino near Moscow to the permanent base," the ministry said.

It said the parade convoy is making a march that’s more than 400 km long. After returning to the permanent base, the equipment will undergo routine maintenance and will be restored to their original state, the ministry said.

This year, three autonomous launchers of the Yars mobile ground-based missile system passed through Red Square on May 9 as part of a mechanized column of the ceremonial crew of the Strategic Missile Forces.

Topol-M and Yars missile systems are in service now at the Teikovsky missile unit.
