BEIJING, September 2. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has begun a bilateral meeting with Uzbek leader Shavkat Mirziyoyev in China, a TASS correspondent reported.

A day earlier, Putin held a brief conversation with Mirziyoyev on the sidelines of the SCO summit. Their current talks represent a full-scale meeting.

Earlier, Russian Presidential Aide Yury Ushakov said the leaders would focus primarily on bilateral issues and the further development of cooperation between the two countries.
