Putin, Lukashenko to meet in Moscow on April 5 ahead of Supreme State Council meeting

During the bilateral meeting, the two leaders will discuss a wide array of issues regarding Russian-Belarusian relations

MOSCOW, April 4. /TASS/. Presidents of Russia and Belarus Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko will meet on Wednesday, ahead of the Union State Supreme State Council meeting, scheduled for April 6, the Kremlin press office announced Tuesday, adding that Lukashenko will make a two-day working visit to Russia on April 5 and 6.

"On April 5, Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko will discuss current bilateral and international agenda during separate negotiations," the press office said.

During the bilateral meeting, the two leaders will discuss a wide array of issues regarding Russian-Belarusian relations.

"Import replacement, deepening of cooperation, development of high-technology industries. The topics will include international situation and security measures," the press office said.

On April 6, participants of the Supreme State Council meeting will discuss the implementation of the main areas of the Union State treaty for 2021-2023, as well as the implementation of union programs. Another key topic is the development of the Security Concept of the Union State; some points of the agenda will involve the current activities within the Union State, the Kremlin said.
