Russia to present proof of US involvement in biolab experiments in Ukraine

This project’s main objective was to conduct a molecular analysis of particularly dangerous infections endemic to Ukraine, Igor Konashenkov said

MOSCOW, March 24. /TASS/. The Russian Defense Ministry will soon present documents demonstrating that the UP2 biological project was developed and approved by the Pentagon, Chief Spokesman for the Russian Defense Ministry Major General Igor Konashenkov announced on Thursday.

"Very soon, we will present the original papers showing that the UP2 biological project that we have already mentioned was developed and approved by the Pentagon. This project’s main objective was to conduct a molecular analysis of particularly dangerous infections endemic to Ukraine. This kind of work involved selecting samples of pathogens in old animal burial grounds in order to produce new strains of anthrax," Konashenkov said.

He also pointed out that the Pentagon’s experiments were not just limited to the development of dangerous infectious diseases. For instance, a pharmaceutical company contracted by the US military, according to the said document, was working with the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense to test unregistered medicines specifically on Ukrainian service members.
