14 settlements in Ukraine’s Lviv region left without gas after pipeline depressurization

The reason of depressurization is being established

KIEV, January 11. /TASS/. Fourteen settlements in the Lviv Region were left without gas after the depressurization of an underground gas pipeline, press service of Ukraine’s State Emergency Service said on Monday.

"Part of an underground gas pipeline of 500 millimeter diameter depressurized near the Romanovka settlement in the Gorodoksky district at 3:58pm [local time] on January 10. In order to prevent gas leaks, the damaged part of the gas pipeline was closed, and gas supply to 14 settlements in Samborsky and Gorodoksky districts (around 3,000 households) was suspended," the press service said.

The reason of depressurization is being established. Emergency crews are working on the site.
