MOSCOW, December 2. /TASS/. The Russian oil pipeline operator Transneft expects that first rail shipments of crude oil will arrive in the Far Eastern port of Kozmino for exports by the end of this year, Deputy CEO of Transneft - Kozmino Port company Vadim Golovchenko said in the Transneft corporate magazine.
"We are in the hot standby and will be ready to take oil as soon as an order comes. We have further expanded the accreditation area of the oil test laboratory to have an opportunity for taking lighter oil in the system. We have developed regulations governing the procedure of oil intake in the main oil pipelines system when discharging oil via rail racks, and updated the interaction procedure with the Gruzovaya Station for the supply and removal of railcars. Oil companies have the interest and I hope we will receive the first train with hydrocarbons as early as by the end of this year," the executive said.
Transneft - Kozmino Port de-mothballed two railroad discharge racks for four tracks with an option of emptying 144 railtank cars at a time.
Earlier reports said that oil export shipments via Kozmino were planned to be 46 mln metric tons in 2024.
