Stavropol Region boosting exports to Latin American countries — governor

"Overall, we scaled exports by 2.4 times over five years as regards fertilizers," Vladimir Vladimirov noted

STAVROPOL, October 25. /TASS/. Authorities of the Stavropol Region are registering a many-fold increase in exports of regional products to Latin American nations, Governor Vladimir Vladimirov told TASS in an interview.

"We are registering explosive growth of exports to Latin American countries, largely in respect of fertilizers. Uruguay - by 30 times, Mexico - by a factor of four. Brazil - plus 20%, considering that this country already ranks second by volumes of Stavropol exports. Overall, we scaled exports by 2.4 times over five years as regards fertilizers," the governor noted.

The export turnover of the Stavropol Region increased by 36% over the last five years, according to data of regional authorities. Industry and agriculture are key export lines for the region.
