GENEVA, December 18 /TASS/. The next round of talks between Iran and the P5+1 group at the level of political directors will be held in mid-January next year, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov told journalists on Wednesday.
Ryabkov had headed the Russian delegation at the negotiations on Iran’s nuclear programme held in Geneva.
“We agreed to meet in the same format in mid-January,” Ryabkov stressed.
“We do not have the final scheme so far and we do not know where and when it’s going to happen. The Iranian delegation and Helga Schmid, a representative of the EU External Action Service, are trying to agree on the final date and venue,” he added.
Speaking about a possibility of holding negotiations at a ministerial level, Ryabkov noted that Russia would insist on its thorough preparation.
