LONDON, September 25. /TASS/. Finnish President Alexander Stubb has appealed to US entrepreneur Elon Musk to expand the coverage area of the Starlink satellite internet service to help Kiev launch strikes deep into Russia, Reuters reported.

"I plead that Elon Musk would give the Ukrainians the possibility to use Starlink in areas where there are ballistic missile launchers," the news agency quoted Stubb as saying.

The Finnish leader also noted that Ukraine needs air defense capabilities, and extending Starlink coverage across the entire territory of Russia could help repel attacks by the Russian Armed Forces. In addition, Stubb stated that Kiev is in dire need of power generation facilities for the winter and financial assistance.

In recent months, Vladimir Zelensky has repeatedly asked US President Donald Trump for permission to use Starlink capabilities to launch strikes deep into Russian territory. However, Trump has not given a clear answer. Musk has stated that granting such permission requires a decision from the White House.
