BUENOS AIRES, February 25. /TASS/. Argentine President Javier Milei met with former US leader Donald Trump and expressed hope he will win the US presidential election.

"You are a great president and I hope you will win. I hope to see you again as president," Milei told Trump in a video he posted to X.

Milei met with the former US president before speaking at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington. The Argentine president devoted his speech to criticizing socialism and government intervention in the economy.

Trump said Milei is a president that could "make Argentina great again."

Milei, who assumed office in December, has said he views the US and Israel as the country’s priority allies.
