Pashinyan says Yerevan’s foreign policy vector unchanged, agenda meets country’s interests

According to Prime Minister, Armenia’s foreign policy is transparent

YEREVAN, September 17. /TASS/. Armenia is not going to change its foreign policy vector, with the authorities' line aimed at meeting the interests of the republic, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told a briefing.

"Armenia’s foreign policy is transparent. Armenia cannot change the vector of its foreign policy in the sense that it is always aimed at meeting the state interests of the Republic of Armenia," he said.

Pashinyan outlined his country’s position on the situation in the region in a letter submitted to Russian President Vladimir Putin. "In my letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin I outlined our size-up of the situation, what I set forth during our 7-8 meetings this year," he said.

Earlier, Putin said that he communicated regularly with Pashinyan who had sent a detailed letter to the Russian president.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s proposal to hold a four-party meeting with leaders of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Russia for discussing the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh is not the only one, Pashinyan noted.

"There is a wide variety of proposals and ideas, I wouldn’t focus on one of them. The problem is that for me this is not the only idea to voice my attitude, I think we should take it as a whole," he said.
