Ukrainian forces shelled Donetsk with NATO 155-mm caliber artillery — DPR

Previously, Western states shipped US-made M777 155-mm howitzers and ammunition to Ukraine

DONETSK, June 7. /TASS/. Ukrainian forces shelled Petrovsky District of Donetsk with 155-m artillery, used by NATO states, DPR territorial defense headquarters reported Tuesday.

"NATO 155-mm caliber artillery was fired by from Ukrainian positions in Georgiyevka at Petrovsky District of Donetsk," the headquarters said in its Telegram channel.

DPR mission to the Joint Ceasefire Coordination and Control Center also reported that Ukrainian forces fired 15 155-mm shells at Petrovsky District from positions in Georgiyevka.

According to the mission, similar ammunition was used during shelling of Makeyevka at 14:00, with five such shells fired.

Previously, Western states, including Canada and the US, shipped US-made M777 155-mm howitzers and ammunition to Ukraine. There were also reports of French CASESAR artillery of similar caliber being used by Ukrainian forces.
