KIEV, April 13. /TASS/. The wife of Ukrainian politician Viktor Medvedchuk, Oksana Marchenko, has demanded that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky immediately release her husband, detained by the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU).

"I, Oksana Marchenko, the wife of Ukrainian parliament member Viktor Medvedchuk, request President Zelensky to take all the necessary measures for the immediate release of my husband Viktor Medvedchuk who is being illegally detained by the SBU," she said in a video address on YouTube on Wednesday.

She pointed out that Medvedchuk "neither violated Ukrainian laws nor left the country".
