PYONGYANG, April 26. /TASS/. North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has said during talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the Russky island that security on the Korean Peninsula fully depends on Washington's position, Korean Central Telegraph Agency (KCNA) reported on Friday.
"The Supreme Leader noted that the US took a unilateral and unfriendly position at the recent second summit between DPRK [Democratic People's Republic of Korea] and the US, as a result of which the situation on the Korean Peninsula and in the region has reached a stalemate and even a dangerous line, with a possibility of returning to square one," KCNA said. Kim Jong-un also said that "peace and security on the Korean Peninsula fully depend on the further approach of the US, and DPRK will be ready for any developments," KCNA added.
The Russian and North Korean leaders decided during talks "to continue developing mutual understanding and ties, to strengthen strategic cooperation to ensure peace and security in the region," KCNA said.
