Five more families with children returned to Russia from Syria

According to Lvova-Belova, 14 families - 44 people - have been returned to Russia so far

MOSCOW, February 12. /TASS/. Five more Russian families with children have returned to Russia from Syria by the Russian Defense Ministry's flight, according to Presidential Commissioner for Children's Rights Maria Lvova-Belova.

"The flight of the Russian Defense Ministry brought 16 people from Syria, including nine children from one to 16 years old," she wrote on her Telegram channel.

According to Lvova-Belova, 14 families - 44 people - have been returned to Russia so far. Appeals from Russian citizens regarding their return from Syria are still being processed.

The Commissioner for Children's Rights under the Russian President thanked the Russian Ministries of Defense and Foreign Affairs, the Russian Embassy in Syria, representatives of law enforcement agencies, and other relevant bodies for their assistance.
