MOSCOW, February 7. /TASS/. The Russian National Coordination Center for Computer Incidents (NCCCI) expects new attempts from abroad to penetrate Russian information systems for further attacks, Nikolay Murashov, deputy director of the center said on Tuesday in a speech at the plenary session of InfoForum 2023.
"Many countries have already repeatedly and openly stated about the development of offensive operations in cyberspace, the creation of relevant units and their high-priority equipping. In these conditions, the facilities of Russia’s critical information infrastructure will be the main targets of such operations, therefore attempts to penetrate with the aim of establishing a bridgehead for the future, working out ways to disable it, collecting information of interest on the functioning of critical information infrastructure facilities should be expected now," Murashov said, giving no details on which countries could carry out these attacks.
Last year, more than 28,300 malicious resources were blocked and more than 2,000 cyberattacks were thwarted, following requests by the center, he said.
