MOSCOW, February 4. /TASS/. The Russia Today media group commented on Friday on Canada’s decision to put it on an expanded blacklist.
"We never liked maple syrup anyway, and we, too, have a very good hockey [team]," the media group said on its Telegram channel.
Earlier on Friday, Canada slapped sanctions on 38 Russian individuals and 16 legal entities. Among other people, these affected famous TV anchors and performers, while the list of sanctioned organizations also includes the RIA Novosti news agency and some other companies which, Ottawa says, allegedly have ties with Yevgeny Prigozhin-linked businesses.
