Broadcasts of Russian TV channels uninterrupted after strikes on Kherson, official says

It was also specified that there was no information of casualties as a result of the strike

SIMFEROPOL, April 28. /TASS/. A strike on a TV tower in Kherson from the territory controlled by the Kiev regime did not disrupt the broadcasts of Russian channels in southern Ukraine, general producer of the Crimea TV and radio company, advisor to the Crimean leader on information policy Oleg Kryuchkov told TASS on Thursday.

Overnight on Thursday, a number of Telegram channels published video footage which presumably depicted an explosion after the debris of a Tochka-U missile fell near a TV tower in Kherson. It was noted that the Ukrainian army attempted to strike targets in the city. The missile was taken down by air defense systems, according to sources.

"In Kherson, as far as I know, one tower was hit, there are two of them there at a distance of 50 meters. The broadcasts have already been restored, moreover, all the other towers in the Kherson and Zaporozhye Regions are autonomous - they receive Russian content from a satellite. And the disruption in the operations of one tower won’t lead to the loss of broadcasts in the Kherson and Zaporozhye Regions," the official said.

He also specified that there was no information of casualties as a result of the strike.

In April, Kryuchkov reported that the broadcasts of Russian digital channels were launched in southern Ukraine. Previously, this area was receiving the broadcasts of Ukrainian TV channels.
