More than 142,500 evacuated from area of special operation — Russian military

Russia’s regions have opened more than 7,000 centers for the temporary accommodation of evacuees

MOSCOW, March 3. /TASS/. The Russian army has arranged for the evacuation of more than 142,500 civilians from the zones of the special military operation in Ukraine, the chief of the national defense command center, Mikhail Mizintsev, has said.

"All in all, more than 142,500 people, including 39,681 children, have been evacuated from the zones of the special military operation. Over the past day 5,486 people, including 917 children have been evacuated. A total of 15,246 vehicles have crossed into Russia, including 738 vehicles - over the past day," Mizintsev said at a meeting of the joint coordination center for humanitarian response.

Russia’s regions have opened more than 7,000 centers for the temporary accommodation of evacuees. Each new guest arriving from the neighboring country enjoys personal treatment.
