Ukraine conflict to end when West stops proxy war against Russia, says diplomat

"All of us hope for peace," Russian Permanent Representative to the United Nations points out

UNITED NATIONS, February 7. /TASS/. The hostilities in Ukraine will end once Western countries cease their proxy war against Russia, Russian Permanent Representative to the United Nations Vasily Nebenzya said on Tuesday.

"All of us hope for peace. When those who are backing this conflict stop their proxy war against us by using poor Ukrainians who are dying for them, when they take a realistic position about our concerns we have clearly outlined from the very first day, I think the prospect for peace will become closer," he said, adding that the other side now looks to be reluctant to cooperate.
