Ahmed Al-Sharaa is currently on a state visit to Russia

MOSCOW, January 28. /TASS/. The Kremlin refers to Ahmed al-Sharaa as Syria’s president without using the word "interim," Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told TASS.

"We write ‘president,’" Peskov said when asked whether Russia views al-Sharaa as an interim leader or simply as Syria’s president.

Al-Sharaa is currently on a state visit to Russia for talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
