MOSCOW, November 29. /TASS/. Russia hopes that the Palestinian president visits Moscow in May 2025 for the 80th anniversary of Russia’s victory in the Great Patriotic War, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Pankin said at an event marking the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.

"Russia highly values truly friendly relations with Palestine, the openness and trust of bilateral political dialogue. The Russian leadership and Russian President Vladimir Putin personally give great attention to the further fostering and strengthening of our partnership in all spheres," the senior diplomat said.

"This was confirmed yet again by meetings between the two heads of state in Moscow in August and on the sidelines of the BRICS Summit in Kazan in October, as the Russian president noted in his congratulatory telegram. We hope that the Palestinian president will be able to visit the Russian capital in May 2025 to take part in festivities dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War," Pankin concluded.
