Russia to resolve all issues in Ukraine on its own — Lavrov

The Russian foreign minister noted that, according to specialists, it is impossible for the Ukrainians to operate those types of weapons that have already been partially handed over

MOSCOW, February 2. /TASS/. Russia will resolve all issues in Ukraine by itself, regardless of Western arms deliveries to the Kiev regime, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said in a Thursday interview with TV news anchor Dmitry Kiselyov.

"We will resolve all the issues [in Ukraine] on our own and we haven’t turned [to the CSTO for help]," the Russian top diplomat said.

He said that claims that NATO is not waging war against Russia but is simply arming Ukraine were ridiculous. The Russian foreign minister noted that, according to specialists, it is impossible for the Ukrainians to operate those types of weapons that have already been partially handed over or their potential delivery announced or to have been trained to use them.

"There are systems that, according to specialists, are impossible to learn to use even in the foreseeable timeframe, and, if they are being delivered, then, most likely, this will be done together with combat crews. Apparently, they will be let go on temporary leave from the military and hired as mercenaries with proper credentials," Lavrov noted.
