MOSCOW, October 27. /TASS/. On October 28, the CSTO Collective Security Council will consider measures of support for Armenia, the organization reported on its Telegram channel on Thursday.
"Plans at the session are to discuss the results of efforts by the CSTO mission dispatched to Armenia on September 15, 2022, by decision of the CSTO Collective Security Council in connection with the worsening situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. Joint measures to provide assistance to the Republic of Armenia are also expected to be considered," the message said.
Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told a briefing on October 20 that the leaders of the CSTO member states would soon consider a draft decision on joint measures to assist Armenia. Earlier, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that Yerevan was initiating an emergency meeting of the CSTO Collective Security Council to discuss the situation on the border with Azerbaijan. According to Pashinyan, the republic expects the CSTO to "give a clear political assessment of what is going on and adopt a road map to restore Armenia's territorial integrity".
