MOSCOW, October 25. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin will for the first time chair a special coordination council meeting on Tuesday to discuss the Armed Forces’ needs during the special military operation.

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin was appointed its head, with Dmitry Grigorenko, a deputy prime minister and Chief of the Government Staff, and Denis Manturov, a deputy prime minister and Industry and Trade Minister, acting as his deputies. The Coordination Council also has other deputy prime ministers, cabinet officials and the heads of government agencies as its members.

The Kremlin has said Mishustin will address the meeting with a speech. Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin, who was instructed to coordinate regional security measures, is also expected to speak.

Mishustin chaired the Council’s debut meeting as its head on Monday. Russia’s PM said the Council would handle a wide range of issues to meet the needs of the Russian Army in the course the special military operation. He said Grigorenko would be in charge of regulatory and financial issues, while Manturov would be responsible for deliveries of all types of weapons and military hardware as well as communications devices and the provision of clothing and equipment for the personnel.

The prime minister also outlined priority tasks. Among other things, he called on regional governors to pay their closest attention to the security of critical infrastructure, including energy, transport and telecoms facilities, and to make additional efforts to inform citizens on nationwide and regional support measures.

Coordination Council meetings will be held as necessary. Mishustin said there were plans to report the Council’s activities to the president on a weekly basis.
