Russian, US top brass discuss risks Ukraine may use ‘dirty bomb’

MOSCOW, October 24. /TASS/. The chief of Russia’s General Staff, Deputy Defense Minister Valery Gerasimov has held a telephone conversation with the Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Monday.

"The chief of the Russian Armed Forces’ General Staff, First Deputy Defense Minister, General of the Army Valery Gerasimov, has had a telephone conversation with the Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley. During the conversation with the US side, the discussion was continued of the situation involving the risks Ukraine may use a ‘dirty bomb’," the statement reads.

Last weekend Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu held telephone talks with his counterparts in the United States, Britain, France and Turkey to discuss the situation in Ukraine and brief them on the risks of possible provocations by Kiev involving a "dirty bomb".
