Crew of the Aframax Rio tanker was rescued, with no casualties, the Russian transport ministry said

MOSCOW, October 6. /TASS/. A Liberian-flagged vessel transporting oil was attacked by drone boats off the Black Sea coast, the Russian transport ministry said.

"A ship with a load of oil, flying the Liberian flag, was attacked by unmanned surface vessels," the statement reads.

Russian Transport Minister Andrey Nikitin led a crisis response meeting following the attack on the Aframax Rio tanker off the Black Sea coast.

Crew of the Aframax Rio tanker was rescued, with no casualties, the Russian transport ministry said.

Oil is burning after an attack by unmanned boats on the Aframax Rio tanker in the Black Sea, but its extinguishing will begin after the intensity becomes lower, the Russian Ministry said.

The available forces and means to eliminate the consequences are sufficient, the ministry said after a meeting of the headquarters for the elimination of the consequences of the attack led by Transport Minister Andrey Nikitin.
