MOSCOW, May 30. /TASS/. Poland belongs to the category of NATO and EU countries that bet on prolonging the crisis in Ukraine, Russian ambassador to Warsaw Sergey Andreev said on Monday during a Rossiya-24 TV broadcast.

"As for Poland's position on the development of the situation in Donbass and Ukraine, yes, Poland together with the US, together with Baltic countries, with the UK simply belongs to the category of NATO and EU countries, which stake on prolonging the conflict, on depleting, as they expect, Russia's resources, and to this end [they] are ready to fight 'to the last Ukrainian'," the ambassador said.

Andreev added that the Polish authorities expect to receive a significant portion of the money that the West will allocate for the reconstruction of Ukraine. According to him, this is a typical Polish way of thinking: take advantage of other people's money.
