MOSCOW, February 12. /TASS/. Freight turnover of Russian seaports amounted to 71.6 mln tons in January 2025, down by 1.6% year-on-year, the Association of Commercial Seaports reported.
"Freight turnover of Russian seaports slipped by 1.6% in January 2025 year-on-year to 71.6 mln tons," the report said.
Dry cargo throughput totaled 34.2 mln tons in the reporting period, up by 3.7%, while liquid cargo throughput reached 37.3 mln tones, down by 6.1%, according to the association.
Meanwhile, 57.3 mln tons of export cargoes were loaded in the period, which is half a percent lower than in the same period in the previous year, as well as 3.6 mln tons of imported cargoes (+10.7%), 5.2 mln tons of transit cargoes (-14.7%), and 5.5 mln tons of cabotage cargoes (-6.2%).
