Russian Agriculture Ministry suggests renewing rice export ban until June 30, 2025

The prohibition does not apply to rice exported from Russia to the member-states of the Eurasian Economic Union, the humanitarian aid to foreign nations

MOSCOW, November 18. /TASS/. The Russian Ministry of Agriculture suggested renewing the temporary ban on rice and rice grits export until June 30, 2025, with the draft decree posted on the federal web portal of draft regulations.

The Russian government extended the temporary restriction until December 31, 2024 in July.

"The temporary ban to be established from January 1 to June 30, 2025 for exports of rice, except rice seeds for sowing, and rice grits from the Russian Federation," the document reads.

The prohibition does not apply to rice exported from Russia to the member-states of the Eurasian Economic Union, the humanitarian aid to foreign nations, and exports within the framework of international intergovernmental agreements.
